Firefox browser hanging up?

Question

Firefox used to be my main browser.  For sometime now it hangs up and you see (not responding) at the top of the screen... I am fairly competent on the internet and have gone thru all the clearing of the Cache, etc etc etc.

What I want to know is there anyone out there having NO problems with Firefox....and if so....what browser  are you using and what system are you using on your computer.  IE....IE.8, 9, 10,  Google, etc.

I am using  Windows 8.1 and my Internet Browser is the latest version No. 11.

I was adviced to change the Internet Browser because it was having problems and therefore I started using Mozilla Firefox, instead of Internet Explorer.  The I.E I was using then was the version No. 10.
At the very beginning of my experience with Firefox, it was very negative.  A lot of difficulties to delete a
message already seen and that I did not want to file it.  I was having crashes continuously but I owe
to say that those were not serious crashs, as just by getting off and re-starting the program was enough
to solve the problems and continue the email work with Firefox.

However, as it was not pleasant to be constantly interrupted in my work,  I requested HELP from Mozilla Firefox, and basically by doing what I was told to do, updating to the latest version of Mozilla Firefox and updating Internet Explorer to the latest version No. 11, after completing those updates, since then I never had again any new crash.

This is all I have to say concerning my experience with Mozilla Firefox Browser.

firefox keeps hanging up when i start it and when i try to download on it.  but if i move my mouse it stars working again.  i have tried several pieces of advise on here but its still does it?? why is it associated with my mouse movement? how did that happen?  please help
