Although I am a Top Contributor, the badge does't appear against my Avatar but does if you hover over it. Other Top Contributors have their badge shown. Is there a reason for this?

When I hover over your avatar it says "quatt47" and a nice gold crown. ! What a memory ! I was a TC for a long time,but Yahoo is a hard task master. If you dont spend 12 hours a day at their bidding they remove it.
A lot of members have lost it.I think it will be withdrawn sooner or later.?

Yes there is a reason. When you have discover yourself Answers profile you're unable seen what TC badge you have hold but you always will remain to see a TC badge other then your profile. This is the part of New implement of site. However if you logout your account before going to view your answer profile so,you have see what badge you have hold.

It is showing now the little crown is beside your display name when you hover hover your avatar the same as it is for others with the designation.
