I have a question about type match-ups in Pokémon?

I'm playing through Pokémon Emerald, and I'm getting close to the Electric type gym leader. One thing I need to know is if my Marshtomp's Ground/Water type combo negates Electric type attacks or not.

I've playing Pokémon for years, yet I've never had to use an Electric type attack on a Water/Ground type before, so I don't want to screw myself over.

Yes, if one type of a multitype pokemon is immune to an attack, then the pokemon will be completely immune even if the other type is not, or even if it's normally supereffective.

So electric will fail against any pokemon that is part ground type, no matter what the other type is.

Yes Marshstomp is now immune to Electric attacks but be careful of Grass types it's 4x super effective
