Can I use my Playstation 3 with an older TV - not HDMI - that has a line in (with yellow red and white inputs)?
Is there a device I can order? Do I need a converter?
TV = Toshiba tv/vcr
I already have a playstation AV out with the same colors but it is not working.
I had the same problem with my Nintendo 64 for a while, and then ironically it seemed to resolve itself. Not sure how.

You can, but do note: You won't get HD picture (and thus, you lose a lot of the value of having a PS3 in the first place)
This can make text hard to read (text is formatted to be read on HD screens) and you'll see a lot of aliasing (jagged edges) on everything, making the entire experience less desirable.

as long as your ps3 has the slot that your playstation av cable can fit into, it's good to go. if it doesn't come up initially. hold the power button until you hear two beeps. i used to need to do that sometimes because a ps3 was on hdmi mode. it resets the video settings

I thought one came in the box, but you can get a replacement AV cable from amazon at this link for under $6 with free shipping if you have Prime: http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B003U7WCEM/ref=as...
