Under the three continent system, what is Antarctica?

Is it part of Oceania? An island? Or do they just kind of pretend it doesn't exist?

The "Three Continent System" IS Gibberish that has no meaning in the modern world. A dug up Dinosaur can't run.

Antarctica is a continent. No talk of Island here, that is extraneous. Notionally a continent defined by the Oceans around it, is an Island too or nearly so [only connected by flimsy an Isthmus to another].

The "Three Continent System" was a view of the world held by Europeans in ancient times when they only knew of the existence of three continents, Europe, Asia and Africa. The other four continents were at that time completely unknown to them. In fact much of Africa and Asia at that time was also unknown to Europeans. It was not until the Age of Exploration beginning in the 15th Century AD that Europeans were able to travel to the other continents and explore them. It was not a matter of pretending they did not exist, they really had no idea that they existed.
