Slender man is made up. The guy who made him up admits to making him up. There's really no question he was a made up character.

I don't know what you saw but it was dark and when the mind does not recognize something immediately it seeks to make sense out of it with something familiar. This is why we see faces in wood grains or burn patterns on french toast.

I really think it was your imagination running away with itself before you got a chance to get a good look at anything, so you were just left with your brain's first impression rather than a true impression.

How are we to take you seriously when you posted this made up story in "MYTHOLOGY AND FOLKLORE" section. A section berated daily by questions of how to become a fantastical creature, if they are a supposed creature, etc. . .The reason they don't share their experiences or come forward with evidence is because of people like you going around posting fake experiences and making up evidence, that make it hard for people to believe their eyewitness account and it ends up going unreported. This makes those studying the unexplained or paranormal experiences look stupid and foolish and those who have experienced it look stupid as well.
