I want to propose to my boyfriend, but...?

I want to propose to my boyfriend of four years (he's the ONE) but he has told me multiple times that he absolutely hates wearing jewelry of any kind. I asked him if he would wear a ring once he is married, and his response was "I don't think even then."

I would like to keep with tradition (of some sort, considering I'M the one proposing, and he won't wear jewelry) and give him an engagement present.

Any ideas?

Maybe he would consider getting your name tattooed on his ring finger once your married, but I don't highly suggest it if it turns out things don't exactly work out in the end for you two, but if he's willing to and likes the idea, then go for it. Good luck!

I wouldn't force the issue....especially since you're proposing to him - which doesn't seem very traditional.

    What about a tattoo ring?

As an engagement gift you could give him a small cake, a car, a special video game accessory, state of the art headphones, an iPhone, a framed picture, a beer, a wallet, etc. Or you could just buy yourself a ring.
