Wanting to recreate You and I - One direction freeze frame effect?
In the One direction - you and I music video the boys have a frozen version of themselves that they run and jump into. I would love to learn how to do this effect on sony vegas, if anyone knows and can explain or point me in the direction of a tutorial thankyou :D

Most likely achieved out side of sony vegas. It would make it a lot easier if the camera was completely still, otherwise you may have to 3d track the shot, or move the camera in the EXACT same way, which some rigs let you achieve. Either way its difficult to achieve unless the camera was set up on a tripod.
If you wanted to have it so it would work with a moving camera you would need this:
Adobe after effects (or similar)
Boujou (or similar)
(A camera jib, dolly or slider would help)
or
Just a rig that can move in the exact same way every time you use it, which would be over £1000
