I have a crush on this guy but there is one problem: he thinks I'm strait! I've tried asking him out, but his shyness gets in the way big time. And then when he just sits there and goes "ummmm...umm.." I just say It was a dare from my friend. He thinks I like this girl, when u don't. That's the issue I want solved so can somebody help??

I'm assuming he is gay so just talk to him and be serious. These jokes are not helping at all. When you do that stuff he is probably thinking you are just strangling his feelings. Playing with him. I know you don't want him to be hurt so try to be real with him. No more games.

is your crush also gay? if yes the answer is to get him alone and kiss him and apologize and make an excuse to leave and see how he reacts if he is open to this then you tell him everything if he is not open to it tell him it was a dare that paid 50 bucks.
