The only day of Shawaal that you cant fast is the 1st day of Eid. You can fast from today onwards.

HENCE, I RECOMMEND ALL OF YOU TO FAST INSHALLAH AS IT IS SOOOO REWARDING.

The Prophet s said, “Whoever fasts Ramadan and follows it with six days from Shawwal it is as if they fasted the entire year.” (Sahih Muslim)

It is permitted to fast these six days separately throughout the month, or consecutively.

Source(s): P.S. Please do dua for me afterlife.

    walaikum musalam

It is not must to directly fast after Eid, but it is encouraged so that one does not becomes lazy. So that means you can fast 6 days in any during during the month of shawwal and it is not must to keep it consecutive.

So do what is best and easy for you inshAllah.

It is up to individual Muslim how and when he wants to fast six days that is to be completed in the month of Shawwal from 1st to 30th day of month.

I have become week fasting 29 days eating very little food in Sahoor and Iftar every day. My doctor has advised me to rest two weaks, regain my strength and then fast six days in the 3rd weak of Shawwal. So I shall start fasting six days from 16th of August.

This eid is officially only one day although culturally it may last longer. Eid al adha is 4 days.

    You can start fasting tomorrow.

    Asalamualikum

fasting the six days of shawal Is not fard but it is the sunnah of the prophet Muhammad (SAWS). And the reward for fasting shawal is great. It is as if you had fasted a year. Subhana'Allah

    Wasslam.

For Eidul Fitra, a person is prevented from not fasting for 2 days. It is celebrated for 2 days.

For Eidul Adha, a person is prevented from not fasting for 3 days. It is celebrated for 3 days.

Source(s): Did you know that you can fast 6 days during the month of Shaawal? This are nafal fasting. You can fast two days and take a day off and continue fasting. You don't have to perform Tarweeh. (Tarweeh is only performed during the month of Ramadan.) Month of Shaawal is from July 26th and it ends on August 26th. You are giving one month to fast for Shaawal. A person cannot fast on Eidul fitra for 2 days, and Eidul Adha 3 days. It's a sin Any question speak with an Imam. Keep me in your dua. Thanks.
