Why are republicans protecting Americans that hire illegals?

The fact is, both parties love immigrants, legal or otherwise.

Democrats love them because newly-naturalized immigrants almost always vote Democratic, like 95% of the time, 19 out of 20 times.

Republicans love them because they work cheap, and a large, ready pool of cheap immigrant labor holds down wages for all workers. Cheap labor is one of the highest GOP values because it means higher profits and a continuous concentration of wealth.

So presidents of both parties have tried to do 'immigration reform' to allow more immigrants to come in, especially from south of the border. The last president who gave them amnesty was Reagan. The last one who tried and failed was GW Bush.

But when a Democrat is in the White House the Republicans do what they always do, they encourage intolerance and resentment and xenophobia and nativism.

The fact is, illegal immigrants don't come here to get free welfare and health care, or to have 'anchor babies', or to commit terrorism. They come here to WORK. They take subminimum wage jobs where they don't have even the very basic rights of workers in the US. They pay FICA and unemployment and disability without ever being able to claim the benefits. They can be abused by their employers and never report it. They live six to a room and send money home!

If you really wanted to stem the tide of illegals, the way to do it would be to prosecute employers that hire them! When the jobs dried up, they'd stop coming. But that's counter to the Republican philosophy. Why hassle an employer for doing all he can to increase his profits? How is that wrong? 8^O

They are encouraged to come either for welfare programs or work. Which do you prefer?

They like the idea of being able to pay below minimum wage. That is why they are against an Immigration Bill.

if you go to a business and the employees do not speak a word of english and make more Money than you do it can be frustrating I agree. Or have more hours than you do and a better job.

The thing is now employers already take people that work any shift, any jon, any condition, and do nto complain, or ask about pay....

this is beyond slave labor now because illegals make way more Money.

I vote Republican but I admit this is totally true. Republicans should form a guest worker program then go after businesses who hire illegals. Not going after these businesses are very hypocritical of us?

so there are no business owners in America who are Democrats? because unless that's true and you have called up every business owner in the country, asked them if they were liberals or conservatives, and checked the citizenship of every one of their employees then your rant is pointless and stupid.

not only that If the Government isn't going to do their job and kick these people out then what are the choices... give them a free hand out and take more tax money... or make them work and earn what they get.

Why do you think Obama is protecting the illegals and wanting to grant them citizenship the money he is being given by the big corp. business while your Unions continue to give him and the DNC your money feel like your being screwed yet you should be.

Republicans are NOT in control of the Justice Department. If the laws are not being enforced it is because of Obama's failure to do it. Why not?
