Clarification on a couple of Japanese kanji?

Can anyone just confirm for me that these kanji have the following translation;

eternal (or everlasting)

    Usually 永 is paired with 遠.

    永遠（えいえん）

    It is pronounced "ei-en" and it means forever, eternal, everlasting...

    愛（あい）- ai

    Is correct. It means love.,
