95 Buick, funny little sensor on air filter box?

    It's really the Intake Air Temperature sensor (IAT) It's used by the the computer to calculate proper fuel pulse.

    It's called the ambient temperature sensor. If the outside temperature is displayed on your dash it does not need to be replaced. The above non-mechanic doesn't have a clue.
