I found a little small grain on a 4 days old refrigerated pizza i wanted to eat. Does anyone know what it could be?

I thought it was a bug at first but it doesn't have a head it looks more like a grain or seed and it's brown with yellow lines on it then i thought it was the seasoning but i'm not sure. Does anyone know what it could be? (I'm not eating the pizza anymore just being curious)

Fennel is what gives Italian sausage that unique flavor.

There is nothing wrong with 4 day old pizza...I would LOVE some of that.

Especially if its spiced with fennel.

Fennel seeds are a common Italian seasoning. I find them all the time in hot sausage.

I agree with others - fennel. Why bother about worrying about a little seed?
