Will good and evil are definitely out there.
I have experienced both in the past summer.
I would chat with my friends and do fun stuff with them and go on kik and other websites.
Now I'm scarred for life because of the internet.
I learned I can trust no one.
Just because of reading a magazine and chatting with people.
People do bad things that no one wants to know.
But people also do awesome things that help the world or people, like the ice bucket challenge and donations. There are some people out there that you can trust, but you have to choose wisely, because who knows?
They could snap and hurt you.
Well thats what I read in the magazine and have seen in real life.
I hope I answered your question ^^

The way YOU define it, no.
People, places, and things CANNOT be "evil" by themselves, and "evil" as a"thing" does not exist.
TRUE EVIL is that which results when we don't "do the right thing". The bad results of poorly thought out, incorrect, or inappropriate thoughts or actions on our part is what we call "evil".
When you decide to cut class instead of taking the final exam, "evil" result because you fail the class. If you decide to drive home drunk after a party, and you hit another car, the death of the other driver, or even yourself, is "evil". When you think in your mind that someone doesn't like you or wants to harm you, then you avoid that person and cannot take advantage of the benefits they offer you, and the result to you is "evil"
Thus, "evil" CANNOT exists when there are only GOOD thoughts and GOOD actions and GOOD decisions.
BUT . . . you can control ONLY YOUR OWN thoughts, actions, and decision. YOU CAN NOT CONTROL SOMEONE ELSE, the way they think or act or decide. Therefore, while YOU may have all good thoughts and actions and decision, the final result is a TOTAL of the thoughts, actions, and decisions around you. YOU may not drink at all, but you cannot control the driver in the other car. You may abhor guns, but you cannot control the person who comes up behind you and demands all your money. this is why the wise person uses DISCRETION, and tries, as much as the situation CAN be controlled by you, to avoid such situations. Drive defensively, stay with the crowd, and don't try to fight a mugger. being cautious, aware, and wary is the RIGHT decision, and it helps you avoid the “evil” decisions of those around you.
Therefore, it APPEASR that evil exists IN OTHER PEOPLE, and so we, in our selfishness, don't want to be seen as "evil", SO WE BLAME SOMEONE ELSE, anyone else but ourselves, when evil happens.
But consider:
Hitler fell in love and was married. Did Eva Braun think Hitler to be "evil"?
John Dillinger had children, and he used part of the money he stole to buy them gifts. Did John's children think him "evil".
Even that man that robs a convenience store, but take diapers and milk for his infant daughter, has "good" intentions in his heart.
Places and things, being inanimate and lacking intelligence and reasoning power, CANNOT BE EVIL. it is only OUR PERCEPTION of them that make them look evil to us. Thus haunted houses, "Satanic" graveyards, Bermuda Triangles,VooDoo, and such are all IMAGINARY, and have "evil powers" only to those who are mistakenly and ignorantly afraid of them.

Good for one is evil for another. You catch and eat a fish. Good for you, bad for the fish. In the whole universe, G & E cancel out to zero, like the other "conserved" values. Reality is made out of nothing, so posive values can never be permanent.

Good = Constructive, Positive, No Victims from action.
Evil = Destructive, Negative, With Victims from action.
So yes, there is Good, and there is Evil. Good is a very narrow-scope, because it needs to improve things, for everybody.
Evil is a very wide-scope, ranging from 'Not that bad', to 'Destroy all others'.
