Do illegals force Americans to hire them?
Why should I attack illegals when they come here because they know Americans don't fear jail if they hire illegals and I don't mean farm workers. I feel like baby boomers are keeping us from attacking the source of problem, illegal employers.

Yes. The lawbreakers are desperate and work for less-thus unseating legit American workers. Pretty easy to figure out unless you're an activast trouble maker in the White House.

Dumb Question .... it's because of GREED and SELFISHNESS that people want and hire ILLEGALS which makes them as guilty, if not more so ... than being ILLEGAL, sadly, illegals are just a HUMAN COMMIDITY for the corrupt, criminal and greedy types :( !

Well, in a sense they sometimes sort of do, in that they often apply for jobs and present fraudulent documents.
People on this website throw a lot of accusations towards employers who employ illegal aliens. Undoubtedly there are some employers who knowingly hire illegals, and that's obviously against the law. However, most of the time, that's not the case. Let me explain.
As an employer, first of all, you are limited in who you can employ based on who applies for jobs with you. That's the pool you have to pick from. And you are required to provide equal opportunity under the law. You obviously can't say, "I'm not going to hire any Hispanics because they might be illegal". or "I'm going to hire only people that 'look like' Americans to me". And of course, not everyone who is Hispanic or speaks Spanish is here illegally.
Anyone you agree to hire must then complete an I-9 form and provide supporting documents. If a new hire provides documents that are on the list of approved ones and they appear genuine, you have to hire them. Giving someone a hard time or asking for extra documentation just because someone is brown or speaks Spanish is called "overdocumentation" and can open you up to a discrimination claim. Many illegals use fraudulent documents (or using those of a legal relative is common). But it's not the job of the employer to "play detective", act on suspicions, or in a prejudiced way.
Under the Obama administration ICE has dramatically stepped up I-9 Audits, which exposes those who have submitted fraudulent information and those people get fired, sometimes deported, and if the employer is not in compliance with regulations, they get fined too.
Yes, there are fraudulent employers out there. (there are people illegally employing U.S. citizens "under the table" too). But for most, you attempt to comply and tiptoe through a minefield of inadvertently employing illegal aliens vs. acting in a discriminatory fashion.
