So i am required to write a essay but im stuck on the first question can someone explain to me what am i suppose to write about or give me an example?
The question is: write about an occasion when you worked through a personal or an intellectual problem by writing or write about an occasion when you used writing to influence someone else.

An example of using writing to influence someone else could be as simple as trying to convince someone to show you love when you professed your love for them in writing. It could be a letter written by you in hopes of convincing someone to assist you with a task. A good example of someone working through an intellectual problem by writing might be a police detective who captures his thoughts in writing to obtain a collective view of all his thoughts to allow him to make a comprehensive decision. That could be difficult for some people depending on what their life experiences have been. In college you will complete writing assignments that will show you why you are who you are. Or at least I would hope that would be the case. For example, a student who takes a course in studies of human development will likely learn a lot about why they did or didn't learn certain things in school, why they didn't get along with siblings, why they prefer to be alone or in large groups, etc.
