what should i do if i stepped on a landmine?

If stepped on a old abandon landmine what should i do and just because it's old will it not detonate?

    If it's an anti-personnel mine you will not have to worry about it as you will be dead or maimed before you can do anything.

    If it's an anti-tank mine you will not have to worry about it as you will not set it off because the pressure to trip one is greater than the normal person weights (usually about 350 pounds to 745 pounds).

    A myth is the "Hollywood land mine" that doesn't blow up until you step off of it. When you step on a mine, it goes boom!

    If you have enough time to realize you stepped on one and it didn't explode. Run away from it, remember the location and alert authorities who will then come and dispose of it.

    you pull out the paper you printed with all the Yahoo answers and follow the directions of all the land mine experts who answered you, and of course you have no idea who they are to begin with.
