JWs, why do your Kingdom Halls not have any windows?

Greytower comments, "Ah, but they do have windows, albeit small and placed high up, closer to the roof."
Some do, others do not. Both the Kingdom Hall I currently attend and the previous one had windows where you could see out of them while seated, and just in the main hall alone, there are five on each side.
So, unless you believe that our hall was built by Lilliputians, you should be able to deduce that the windows are NOT up high.

My Kingdom Hall has a full complement of windows, front and back, and seven congregations use its 3 auditoriums. Some Kingdom Halls have few or no windows to cut down on the heating and cooling bills - that is the only reason why. Anyone who wants to leave can do so, but the Bible lessons there are both enlightening and life giving and there is a feeling of Christian love there. So people come in and stay for the meeting sessions, and the numbers of those who attend our meetings grow regularly. You are invited, too.
Hebrews 10:23-25
23 Let us hold firmly the public declaration of our hope without wavering,+ for the one who promised is faithful. 24 And let us consider* one another so as to incite* to love and fine works,+ 25 not forsaking our meeting together,+ as some have the custom, but encouraging one another,+ and all the more so as you see the day drawing near.
I encourage you to go to http://www.jw.org/ - there are plenty of pictures there of Kingdom Halls with windows.

I'm an ex JW and I know of a few KHs around here that do have windows. Nothing fancy or stained glass obviously. There are two I know of that do not have windows. But its because of the neighborhood they are in.

The halls in the city I grew up in didn't have windows because of violence and vandalizing of the place. They were even gated. When I got married and moved to another city the hall had windows and wasn't gated. So it really has to do with the area.

Now, this must be on a list somewhere of apostate "questions to ask JWs" because it comes up regularly and we have to go through all the nonsense again.
SO, here we go, our KIngdom Halls do have windows. I sit and look out of a window at my hall at the beautiful garden we tend. Most Halls have windows. The ones that dont have are those in areas where vandalism has taken place and the insurance is cheaper. I have NEVER seen a hall without windows and Ive been to many, many halls all over the world.
The question is usually raised by a couple of people on here who then swear they have attended several halls with no windows. I can only say, why are they attending all these halls when they hate us and if that is the case, they must be visiting inner city halls or those in dodgey areas or where local conditions, weather, etc. deem it suitable
For those who want to see just some halls, you can go to our site at jw.org - you will see in some tropical countries, some dont even have walls, either. There is also an interesting video of brothers travelling by plane to build a hall in icepacked areas of canada etc. - goodness knows how they manage to do it in that weather.
SO, asker - you are being conned by someone who has a apostate site - I can assure you that most of our halls have lots of windows - which is lot different to the churches I attended where the windows were up high and no one could see in or out of them.
So think on, why do people want to mislead you about us? Think of what satan did all the time to Gods people - lead them away from the truth.

Ah, but they do have windows, albeit small and placed high up, closer to the roof. When the Kingdom Hall in my home town in Scotland was built, the reason given was simply to prevent people from peering in. There was also a practical reason for not having big windows round the back side - there was a high embankment just three feet from the wall.

obviously you can drive by them and see most have windows, some don't because of crime in the area

Windows or no windows, I really do not care. However I take exception to "Diane's" use of the word " apostate" the only apostate site I know of is JW.org ...
