Why were the umpires in the Marlins-Brewers game so biased?

When you see the batter struck in the face you do not call it a swing even if he did swing. The MIL mgr might have mildly complained, but seeing Stanton carted off nothing would have come of it. Then next pitch to Johnson, he again calls a swing which it was not, and gets the Marlins upset even further. Sometimes as an umpire you have to use a little common sense.

In addition, Reyburn was never going to be hired as a ML umpire until they brought in expanded replay and needed some warm bodies. Believe me, the Crew Chief Kellogg has already put in a request to the league office, that Reyburn not be assigned to his crew next year.

I did not see any bias in the way the umpires called that game. I feel terrible for Stanton, but the beaning was not intentional. It was handled the way all those situations are handled. Warnings were given and the next guy was ejected.

@larry, your answer didn't make much sense until you clarified that umpires are two-legged people, then it all came into place. Of course umpires are evil. Haven't you read Stephen King's best seller "Umpires of the Corn"?

Because of the same reason that many great thinkers long before the Bible was wrote thought that man was born in sin. That may be true, but what I do know is that man has been raised to allow negative thoughts to enter his mind instead of positive thoughts, this badly influences peoples perception of reality, and umpires are just DUMB humans and humans are just stupidly biased, that has become their nature, and remember umpires are two legged people who most of them, are evil by nature. But humans can choose to be good or evil, but most humans have been trained to be evil, which will destroy them where as if they changed and taught themselves to be good, they would be successful and happy people. Regarding your question In short because most umpires are biased AND EVIL, it's their life long nature.
