Prolifers, why are you against abortion when the bible makes it very clear that God fully supports abortion?

Update 2:

in Hosea 13:16 God is actually commanding abortions:

Samaria shall become desolate; for she hath rebelled against her God: they shall fall by the sword: their infants shall be dashed in pieces, and their women with child shall be ripped up.

Actually, according to the Bible, it says in Leviticus 17:11 & 14 "The life of every creature is its blood." Since the blood doesn't flow until the 22nd day when the heart starts beating, the earliest that life technically could occur wouldn't be until then. In Genesis 2:7 it says that God "breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and man became a living soul." and in Job 33:4 it says that "the spirit of God hath made me, and the breath of the Almighty hath given me life." Sorry but a baby doesn't breathe until it is delivered. In Leviticus 27:6, a monetary value was placed on children, but not until they reached one month old (any younger had no value). Exodus 21:22 states that a fetus loss is a fine "If men strive, and hurt a woman with child, so that her fruit depart from her, and yet no mischief follow: he shall be surely punished, according as the woman's husband will lay upon him; and he shall pay as the judges determine." In Numbers 3:14-15 a census was commanded, but the Jews were told only to count those one month old and above - anything less, particularly a fetus, was not counted as a human person. So, if the Bible does not count a fetus or a child less than one month old as a human person, then (according to the Bible) it is NOT murder.

Throughout the Bible whenever the beginning of life is mentioned, it is always with the first breath. The end of life is associated with the last breath. Biblical principles would them mean that life starts at the first breath and ends with the last breath. A fetus has not taken a breath and therefore, according to the Bible, does not possess life. Then in Numbers 5:11-31, it tells when an abortion is permitted and even how to perform it.

Further, god is supposed to be intelligent. Since approximately 46% of pregnancies do not come to term due to miscarriage, why would an intelligent entity put a soul into a fetus that god is only going to destroy before birth? That makes no sense, particularly for something that is supposed to be intelligent.

But, people don't like to read their bible.

HOSEA This is not a command, this is prediction.

If I said that 98% of girls that go into abortion clinics SHALL have an abortion. This isn't saying I am "COMMANDING" them to.

Samaria shall become desolate; for she hath rebelled against her God: they SHALL fall by the sword: their infants SHALL be dashed in pieces, and their women with child SHALL be ripped up. -- Hosea 13:16

It is not possible to be a literalist and fully follow all the commands of the Bible. If you tried, you wouldn't make it through a single day without committing multiple homicides, practicing self-mutilation, child abuse and many other acts that would mark you as criminally insane in our culture. Think ISIS is bad? Read through the book of Deuteronomy and see JUST how many people you know personally that God doesn't want you to kill. Every believer cherry picks verses to support their own desires.

    Your assertion is false.

When did John the baptist first have interaction with the outside world? Six months into his mothers pregnancy with him. He leaped in the womb at the sound of Mary's voice.

Luke 1:44 "For, lo, as soon as the voice of thy salutation sounded in mine ears, the babe leaped in my womb for joy."

Can we agree that location is not a determining factor in whether or not someone is a human being? I mean if I am a human being on this side of doorway, then I am a human being on that side of the doorway too. If I am a human being inside of a structure, then I am a human being outside of the structure too.

Is it awareness that makes us human? If you are asleep, you are not aware. Would killing you while you slept not be killing a human because you are not aware? Of if you were anesthetized, you are unaware. Would killing you then not be killing a human? No, your state of consciousness does not determine if you are a human or not.

Is the ability to survive independently a determination of if you are human? If I put a one month old child on a sidewalk and walk away, that child has no chance of survival without assistance. Does that mean it is not human? Stephen Hawking has no ability to care for himself. He is not independent. Does that mean he is less than a full human being, with all the rights and privileges there by? No both the baby and Stephen Hawkings are human beings.

When does human life begin? Can we agree that a five year old is a human being with all the rights to protection as a human being? How about a one year old? Is he a human being? A one month old? One week old? How about five minutes after birth, is he a human being then? What about five minutes before birth? Is he human at that point? If not, what physical changes are there that make the first a human and deny the humanity of the second? There are no major physical changes to the body that take place over those ten minutes, except perhaps, breathing.

How about two weeks before birth? Or a month? Or two months? At what point does this become a human being?

If you say viability, then what about the viability of a one month old. And science is improving the ability for younger and younger babies to survive. We have some babies as young as 22 weeks surviving. Does technology determine who is human and who is not? Eventually we might be able to create artificial wombs that would allow a fertilized egg to come to full term. Does that mean that the determination of when a fetus becomes a person is going to be a sliding scale?

If you are unsure of when someone becomes a human being, isn't it better to make a mistake in favor of life? Rather than risk killing an innocent someone, who has done nothing wrong, except to inconveniently exist, would it not be better to give them the benefit of any doubt and allow them to live?

Why should I care what the Bible says? You assume I give a damn about the Bible. I don't care about a stupid, man made, unoriginal, contradictory book.

WHO?? The "Bible" was not put in print for public reading - WHY? Because we humans always tend to put our own "spin" on everything. You just proved that one. People "use" religion for their own personal justification purposes - gives people "reasons" to put themselves above others and cast judgements.
