Why hasn't Hollywood stepped up to the plate on the solution to the threat from the terrorist organization now known as IS?

Don't worry, they'll step up and make a movie about it once it's all died down.

Because they have no interest in helping...

I saw a 1940 movie the other night called Mortal Storm with Jimmy Stewart. Obviously geared toward letting us know about Hitler .. because in the end .. the Nazis came out on top. Very sad ending. Curious too because Jimmy Stewart became a Brigadier General in the war [real not acting]. Not that many people in Hollywood today that could do that except Tom Hanks/Stephen Spielberg and a few others.

Hollywood doesn't have any expertise in anything to do with the subject. They make movies about events years after they happened once all the facts are in.

There will probably be war movies in a few years about these events.

Meanwhile, I couldn't care less what Tom Cruise thinks the military should be doing.

Hollywood makes "War" movies...
