It may just be outdated. It probably doesn't have much RAM, which is what is used by program's to run and the more RAM you have the better and less worse. To find out hold the windows key then while holding it press r then a box will come up, write dxdiag. Click run and then click no to the next box then you can see your computer specs and how much ram you have. If it is less than 4 gig then it isn't much but a computer with that amount should run okay though. Download install and run these program's: Avira antivir, ccleaner, spy bot search and destroy.

Also one more tip is to right click my computer go then click properties, then go to the display tab I think it is and then find where you can unstick the boxes. Also google how to make a computer run faster and that will explain the boxes thing I just said but much better. That will help a lot. Good luck! :)

Hi so there you have it OLD the term says it all really. the term old suggests you have had this some time.filled it's hard drive up with all sorts of data and removed some and not had it checked and tested by the house keeping methods. so it struggles to find items on the hard drive. then we have the processor speed and multi core issues these days as 4 giga hertz has been found to be a bit of an issue in this processing speed.they have switched to multi core devices so now quad core in the usual makes and now with a new kid on the block with 256 core processors things are about to take another huge step or should i say leap. yes the old motorola chips are proving things are advancing in other directions.

so time to upgrade multi core and the one thing they all for get. RAM.

not enough it will run slow. why simple really the processors are extremely fast, the hard derive has got extremely huge and it takes time to get the data from one to the other. so increase in Ram memory helps to buffer one against the other, so time to get as much ram as possible.

Since you don't include a lot of details, a 'shotgun' approach to an answer will have to do...

Windows OS's just get bogged down with junk and file management issues, and sometimes the best, quickest and easiest cure for all the accumulated troubles is to re-install the OS.

See my earlier answer regarding disk work, and cleaning/managing things: https://answers.yahoo.com/question/index;_ylt=AoZ5...

Re-installing the OS depends on which one you have.

Add more details on that and someone can guide you better.

Maybe you have too many downloaded programs and you need to increase RAM. Or maybe its time to get a new one.
