What exactly was 'New Coke'?
It was during the 80's I heard and it was so badly received they pulled it. What did it taste like and how did it compare to normal Coke?

It was sweeter and more like Pepsi. People who prefer Coke over Pepsi (me), like that "bite." It was gone.

"New Coke" was a marketing scam from the Coca Cola corporation. They announce that they are re-inventing Coke, and release the "NEW" Coke. Sales boom initially as everyone tries it... then they release "Classic Coke" in response to negative feedback... and everyone is grateful that the Coca Cola corporation cares about the opinions of the masses, thus improving the public profile of the corporation. Pretty clever, actually.
Not sure whether I ever tried "new" coke, so I can't offer a description. It all tastes like sugared water to me...

it was pretty yucky. It came out to great fanfare - possibly even greater than Iphone releases - and virtually everyone hated the taste. They retired it pretty quickly and introduced Classic Coke, which was the same Coke as always. A few heads rolled over at Coke.

It was a very dangerous drug in the 80s that has been almost totally erraticated. It was high end cocaine reserved for stock brokers and investment bankers mixed with deadly chemicals, cough syrup, and nutmeg. Since the fall of the economy it has been almost totally wiped out so lost people just do coke classic or diet coke wich is just crack but it makes you skinny so who cares
