Wireless network card question on a Comcast network?
So, I need to buy a wireless network adapter for my PC so I can access the internet at the place I will be moving to in a few days. I have stayed at the place before and found that my old Ipod Touch connected with no problem. The problem is now I will be bringing my PC and I do not know which network card to get.
If I buy a wireless network N card will it still work if the network has a G router? If I buy a wireless network G card will it work on a N router?
I am finding some wireless N cards at good prices but am not sure what the router configuration is at the place I will be staying at.

Most WiFi cards are backward compatible.
There are various wireless standards.
802.11b = 11 Mbps
802.11g = 54 Mbps
802.11n = 150 (300+) Mbps
802.11ac = 500 (1000+) Mbps
The most common WiFi standard in use today is Wireless n. Some older routers use Wireless g.
Most adapters sold are Wireless n which are backward compatible with Wireless g. You can get a Wireless n USB WiFi adapter for your PC from a local retailer or online from Amazon for around $10- $20 http://www.amazon.com/s/?_encoding=UTF8&camp=1789&...
