Would a stringed musical instrument made in China be inferior in quality to one that was made here ?

I bought a new guitar, it was made in China. Some of the products there aren't too durable because they are so mass produced to sell quickly. " Here" means the united states. I am not patriotic or trying to be a' smart wagon", I simply wondered if anyone who knew anything more than I do about guitars could tell the difference in the quality. Where are the best guitars made, or else they are all the same and it doesn't matter. Thanks to all who have answered.
