Sorry, unable to open appeal page.?
I tried to appeal a supposed violation.
But the Appeal page will not open.
I answered the question: How to Change Password? with this answer:
Please Provide more Information. and was reported. What gives?

You were reported for not answering the question. I could answer this question and say "Please provide more information" and that doesn't help you at all. It's no different than putting some gobbledygook down just for 2 points. I realize that it probably was an honest attempt to get more info and not your ploy to get 2 points, but that's how it works on here. Next time, just ignore questions that you cannot answer or give an actual answer AND ask for more info.
Anyways, with your problem: that is a recurrent glitch with the appeals system. If you want to appeal, try this form instead. https://io.help.yahoo.com/contact/index?page=conta...
Choose Appeals → Appeal Deletion of a Question (even though it was for the deletion of an answer). Then, choose Email.
Put "not applicable" or similar under Yahoo ID of the person you are reporting.

That is a violation, "please provide more information' is considered a non-answer. If allowed trolls could post that on any question. If you need more info, you are to email the user (if they allow) or skip the question. You could have answered with the procedure for Yahoo and then added "if for another website provide more info". That is allowed, but there must be a try at an answer.
As to the link, use the alternative form (referenced). The staff know it doesn't work.

Well you didn't give an answer to the Q which to me,was very easy to understand.Don't bother appealing,it will not be overturned. It violated the guidelines. The appeal thing doesn't work for all of us,just a chosen few.

Please provide more information does not answer the question, which makes it a violation of the Community Guidelines.
What does it mean when you say we have to follow the question-and-answer format?
T
We ask that community members follow the question-and-answer format because Yahoo Answers is a question-and-answer community. This means when you post a question, it must be written in the form of a question. When you post an answer, it must attempt to answer the question being asked.
(See http://help.yahoo.com/l/mye/yahoo/answers/abuse/gu... )
So it would do you no good to appeal anyway since your "answer" was a violation.

You didn't attempt to answer the question asked, so violation not following the question and answer format see the link below, you might just as well not appeal you wouldn't win and it would cost you another 10 points.

Lately the appeal link in the
> notification has been glitching but you can go below and use
> the alternate link, follow the prompts, when it asks who
> the reporter is, enter Not known. It doesn't show to appeal
> an answer deletion so select comment deletion and it works.>

Don't get upset. If you said, "type in a new one." you would have been zinged too. Some people demand quality service for free, eh. I stopped appealing at level four or five. Time for you to stop believing in justice, too.
