Good inexpensive makeup brands?

My current makeup keeps getting more and more expensive and so I'm shopping for reasonably priced alternatives.

Currently I use Mary Kay foundation and moisturizer, and those are the two main products I'm wanting to replace. My foundation is currently $18 a tube and that's just ridiculous because I go through it fairly quickly because I cosplay so there are some days where I'm doing my makeup twice a day.

I'm also looking for reasonably priced mascara, eyeliner, blush, the works really.

So what are some good brands that aren't going to break the bank?

I have very fair combination oily skin if that's relevant.

Update:

Thanks Gillian, I've never heard of NYX but I've heard of the others, so now I've got some stuff to check out!

Other suggestions are still welcome, especially if anyone has experience with the brands Gillian mentioned!

Update 2:

Rebecca, that's exactly why I'm giving up the expensive stuff lol. It started out as a favor to a friend when she started selling Mary Kay but I was at a store recently and found my same shade of foundation for way way cheaper in another brand and I decided right then that as soon as my current foundation was gone I was making the switch.

NYX Cosmetics has very good stuff for the price! So do E.L.F. They have great blushes that are really pigmented and every product is like $1-$3. They also have HD Blush (like the creme stuff that is good for cosplaying). NYX is better for foundation and powder and stuff though. Or try Covergirl 3-in-1 foundation so you can skip priming and stuff. Covergirl clump crusher is the best mascara I know of, high end or drugstore. I HATE clumpy looking lashes and clump crusher really lives up to the name! NYX has good eyeliners. Maybelline also has very good mascaras, like The Rocket and Falsies. NYX has good lip colors too! Go to ulta or CVS or Target. All the brands I've named are there. Hope I helped! (:

I'd recommend that you try the 2true range from superdrug. It's mostly only £1.99 a product, but it's actually quite good stuff. I find it's really easy to smudge the brand's eyeshadow, so it's good for blending different colors together, like if you're doing the 'smoky eyes' look for instance. The eyeliners, powder and lipsticks do last well and the concealers work great too.

A good trick I learned from YouTube is to get a slightly more expensive mascara just once, then wash and save the wand once it's run out. After that, apply new and cheaper mascara with the wand that comes with it, then use the old one to fluff and separate your lashes. This works because the main difference between mascaras is the wand that comes with it, not the makeup. A good slightly more expensive one I'd recommend is rimmel scandal eyes.

I find it's usually worth spending a bit more on foundation to get better quality which will not only provide a good look, but will also last longer. Good brands for this are rimmel superstay 25 hour and collection 2000 lasting perfection.

    Products are in sources.

    Hope this helps.

Child take that tube of expensive stuff to Wal Mart and find the brands they carry and compare the ingredients they are usually ingredient for ingredient.

I do not use foundation or anything else but some eyeliner and lipstick but I go through a ton of Oil of Olay, bare with me here, and I go to Wal Mart and buy their Oil of Beauty that is ingredient for ingredient the exact same and moisturizes the exact same way and it cost me about 3.99 a bottle. Oil of Olay can be double or triple that. You are paying for that name on the expensive stuff and they love you.
