I am using Microsoft Word 2007. I need to change/adjust it from double-spacing to single spacing. How can I get this accomplished?

This can be accomplished by going to the Paragraph subcategory, under the Home tab, and clicking the icon with two arrows, one going up and one going down, with lines on the right side of the arrows.

Hotkeys can also be used to toggle between single and double spacing. First, select all the text that needs change in its spacing, then press the following buttons:

    Single spacing: Ctrl+1

    Double spacing: Ctrl+2

You can also select the paragraph spacing in Change Styles, the icon with two A's, under the Home tab. After clicking the Change Styles icon, hover over Paragraph Spacing, then select the spacing you want. You can then set this to default by clicking the "Set as Default" after clicking the Change Styles icon.

It seems to be set double-spaced by default. I need to set it at single spacing. I've read some posts about a 'style' setting on the Home ribbon...but there is none.

Not sure how you can permanently do that but what i do is this. Hold down the shift and hit enter and it will single space.
