The Quran is definitely a throw-back since it encourages extermination of persistent polytheists, polygamy and the like.
It compares well to the Torah( without the oral Torah's mitigation) but not to the new testament.
The Quran ,unlike the Torah which was composed in the iron Age, had over 600 years of New testament teaching such as the Sermon on the Mount but opted for much more primitive and barbaric social and personal ethics
Like the Torah( the ten Commandments come from Exodus of the Torah) there is much uplifting and moral and beautiful in the Quran but there is too much barbaric, primitive, violent and immoral
The New testament is without a doubt the truer, more moral and more spiritual

In that the Quran is the most evil writing I have ever read I have to say that the New Testament is ethically superior. Surely just as Mohammed suspected its source was an angel of darkness and not God. God bless!

ETHICALLY superior? Ethics are subjective, friend. Neither is superior or inferior except to the individuals making the judgment. There is no absolute ethic, just as their is no absolute good. It's ALL subjective.

The New Testament was written by true prophets of God.
The Koran was written by a false prophet.
Now do the math.

The Quran is word of God in its original form. The New Testament have some words from God mixed with lots words from men.
As a Muslim, I respect and believe in the book of beloved prophet Jesus and book of beloved prophet Mohamed peace and bless of God upon them.
Say, "We have believed in Allah and in what was revealed to us and what was revealed to Abraham, Ishmael, Isaac, Jacob, and the Descendants, and in what was given to Moses and Jesus and to the prophets from their Lord. We make no distinction between any of them, and we are Muslims [submitting] to Him." Quran 3:84

Both try to bring us to love God and love our neighbor. I don't think it is helpful to be trying to play both religious texts off against each other. It fosters a climate of animosity and division.

You realize that the NT talked about Moses as being from God and the Quran talks about Jesus and Moses being from God?

christians reject the koran; so, there is NO comparison. The gospels remains the Word of God, unquestioned, uncontested.
