For those who saw the film FURY! SPOILER!?

When Logan Lerman's character hides under the tank after everyone else dies, the nazi soldier points a flashlight on him but he lets him live and tells none of his men anything. Why did the nazi soldier do this? I know the SS Batallion would kill every American on sight, so why would he let him live? Very great film!

Haven't seen the film yet...but lots of true stories from WWII mostly (some from WWI, Korea, etc.) of soldiers in competing armies seeing the enemy but not mentioning it...just keep walking. Famous true story from D-Day...a line of Americans and a line of Germans pass each other on opposite sides of a low wall. Both sides saw each other and neither side fired a shot...just kept walking. I think sometimes soldiers just get sicking of killing.
