Any quick ideas?

I am cooking potroast for a potluck for a friend-no one else knew how and it's her favorite.

I don't have any cornstarch or flour because I haven't made it for so long, any ideas about thickening the gravy?

I can't go to the store, I've had some wine. I have bread, bread crumbs...or can I just slowly reduce it? Any answers helpful, thanks.

Reduction won't help much. Starch (cornstarch, flour, arrowroot) would work best. If you have any unflavored gelatine that kind of works.

Got any instant mashed potatoes? Got any potatoes in the potroast that you can take a piece out and mash it? Got any instant oatmeal?

Thanks, both of you, but roger wins the prize.

Maybe it's the wine, but I use potatoes in my pot roast-I just took a few out, pureed, whisked in at a strong simmer and perfection.

Thanks again for the help, have a good night!

I know you are done but I wanted to add you can use instant potato flakes too.
