Jehovah's Witnesses -- JW dot org -- How did you guys get it and who had it before? Did you have to buy it from someone?

It is copyrighted from the Watchtower Bible and Tract Society. In fact, as of recently there has been a lot of information on us all being careful as to not copy and paste and put it out in public web-sites. This is something new, because about a year ago it was acceptable. In other words, they have the right to tell us what we should do because of Copy-Right Laws.

People, naturally, get overly jealous and go beyond what they should do but that is the truth.

Jehovah's witnesses built their own webpage all by volunteer workers.

They built the TV studio, build the desks, etc. the whole thing in just two months --when the professionals told them it would take at least a year and a half.

I love going to the page--things for children, Bible questions answered and of course, a way to study on line if one would like to do that---and a list of Kingdom Halls located all over the world!

As I write this, I am listening to Theocratic music from their webpage!

Given how slow Jehovah's Witnesses were to latch onto the world wide web, that's an intriguing question. However, I believe organisations are able to register their domain name even if they don't actually use it. Perhpas they registered JW dot org and sat on it till they were ready to launch? Just a guess!
