How can being homosexual be a sin (believers in Christ only please read)?

I understand that the bible teaches against homosexual actions but no where does it describe a loving relationship between 2 men or two women. You must understand that in past times men would sleep with men for fun and lust rather than love! How can you call 2 loving adults....how can you call LOVE a SIN at all. LOVE and SIN do not belong in the same category yet to many religious individuals The love between 2 men is a sin...thats very contradictory!

Here is Leviticus 20:13 in the NIV

"If a man has sexual relations with a man as one does with a woman, both of them have done what is detestable. They are to be put to death; their blood will be on their own."

As far as love goes, I love my dad, I love my brothers, I love my best friends (the guys) In reality Christians should Love everybody, there is a BIG difference between love and lust and I think you have the two terms confused. Read 1 Corinthians 13:4-8 "4 Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. 5 It does not dishonor others, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. 6 Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. 7 It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres.

8 Love never fails. But where there are prophecies, they will cease; where there are tongues, they will be stilled; where there is knowledge, it will pass away."

    Does that help?

The Bible does not teach same-sex love, only Male and Female.

    Does God approve of homosexuality?

    ▪ Answer: The Bible clearly condemns fornication, which includes homosexual relations. (Romans 1:26, 27; Galatians 5:19-21) While the Bible is definite about God’s disapproval of that lifestyle, we also know that “God loved the world so much that he gave his only-begotten Son, in order that everyone exercising faith in him might not be destroyed but have everlasting life.”—John 3:16.

Even though they do not condone homosexual relations, true Christians show kindness to all people. (Matthew 7:12) God wants us to “honor men of all sorts.” Therefore, genuine Christians are not homophobic.—1 Peter 2:17.

the laws of Leviticus is irrelavant to that of today's law. No....there is love in terms of loving one's family and loving one's partner. See the lover that you have for a wife or a husband is not the same level as that of the love of a family member. Although you will be there for your family the love you have for your spouse includes lust. It is therefore okay to lust for the ONE individual in which you dedicate your life to.
