Sec West chaos theory?
What if Mississippi State loses both games to Alabama and Mississippi, then Alabama loses to Auburn, and Mississippi and Auburn win out in the regular season. All four teams would be have 2 losses.
who would win the SEC west?
Would any of them have a chance at the final playoffs.

This came up a couple of years ago when the Big 12 had Texas, Oklahoma, and Texas Tech all with 1 loss. What would happen is that the highest ranked team would get the nod to the conference title game.
As far as the playoff would go, that would largely depend on what happens elsewhere. In that scenario and if TCU/Baylor, Florida State, Ohio State, and Oregon/Arizona State win out, then no, the SEC would not have a representative. Alabama and Auburn have an outside shot with your "chaos theory" because each at least played someone with a pulse in non-conference play unlike Ole Miss and Miss. State, but if the other teams win out, I just don't see a 2 loss team jumping a 1 loss conference champ from a Power 5 conference.

In the event of a 3 or more team tie, the first tie-breaker used by the SEC to determine the division champ is the combined head-to-head records amongst the tied teams.
In this scenario, MSU and Alabama would be eliminated having a 1-2 record amongst the 4 teams, while Auburn and Ole Miss would be 2-1. Auburn would advance to the SEC Championship by virtue of their beating Ole Miss in their earlier meeting.

I'll give you a better "chaos theory". What if Missouri wins the SEC? Does say a 1 loss Mississippi State that loses in the conference title get a playoff bid despite its extremely weak non-conference slate, and how do you put Missouri in (if they win the SEC) with that home loss to the worst team in the Big 10 in Indiana over say a 1 loss TCU who may not win the Big 12?

Hellova scenario.. A really good question as well!! I think in this instance the team with the highest ranking then wins the SEC West and goes to the SEC championship game.. The winner of the SEC championship game would have the best shot at the playoffs.. It just depends on how all the other games in the Power 5 conferences play out as well... It's gonna be chaos that's for sure....

As 2 others pointed out in different ways, the SEC has it's own tie-breaker and if that happened and all the other top teams win out, then no playoff berth for the SEC.
