How do you rate V Putins chivalrous act of draping a shawl over the shoulders of the Chinese PMs wife? Seems to be the topic of the day.?

Meh. Seems like a nice gesture. I don't see why it's a big deal.

It's not a giant scandal, but it's definitely weird. Putting a shawl on the shoulders of another man's wife is a little bit intimate, a little bit presumptuous, a little bit forward. I know I wouldn't do it.

I mean, if she looked cold, I might verbally say "You look cold! Here, do you want my jacket?" But I wouldn't just walk up into her personal space and place it on her.

    Oh, you heard the story.

    Thought it was somewhat amusing.

Interesting, how some cultures interpret it.

Would have news, had be been clobbered, but as it stands its being overblown!

Perhaps, the "news" should be why her husband was not observant? Taking her for granted? So, he was willing to let her freeze to a popsicle? Now that would have been news!!!

Its normal in Russia, but in China its not, the men are more feminine.
