I need help knowing the difference between these two?
Ok, so I've been thinking of upgrading my Blu Ray home theater system since I've gotten a new Samsung HU8550 4K TV. But the problem I have is I can't decide which to get, let alone the difference between the two I was looking at getting.
The two models I'm looking at is the HT-F9730 and the HT-H7730. Besides the way they look, an price different I can't tell the difference between the two because they both share similar specs.
Both are 7.1 surround sound with 1330 watts
Both have the ability to 4K upscaling feature. Which is one of the reasons I want a new one.
Both have tower speakers and wireless rear speakers.
Both Vacuum tube
Both have DTS NeoFusion, Dolby Digital Plus and Dolby True HD.
So I can not tell the difference, I've emailed Samsung in the hopes they could tell me but they were no help. They just read the side by side comparison on their website and said (of course) the HT-F9730 was better because and listed what I did above and said the other did not. Which just by looking at the picture wasn't true.
So I hope any of you could help me, and possibly shed some light on which I should get. Unless you could recommend something else that's better and not to much money.
Thank you.

Your 4K television already has the ability to up-convert whatever video you send to it into 4K so buying a BluRay player that also does this is kind of redundant.
Why are you paring a bleeding-edge 4K television with a cheap/crappy box sound system?
Base your sound system around a full-sized AV Receiver. Then purchase speakers from a 'real' speaker company. This means a company that makes speakers as their main business. Add in a well-respected subwoofer from SVS or HSU research or perhaps Velodyine.
The BluRay player - just purchase a respected player for about $100.
This will give you the basis of a sound system that will last for years, be flexiable in adding new devices and a good subwoofer will give you that impressive theater experience.
You do NOT need $,$$$ to do this. There are many good 5.0 or 5.1 speaker sets from polk, energy, klipsch, definitive technology, B&W, etc. That start about $500.

They're both cheap pieces of cr*p that I wouldn't own or use if I got them for free. Seriously.
And, neither of them put out 1330 watts. You'd be doing well to get 13 watts out of each one, properly and not fraudulently measured, that is.
A PROPER home theater sound system starts with a receiver, one that does NOT have a disc player built into it. Then, you add a speaker set, such as a 5.1 speaker set, made by a firm that specialises in speakers. Samsung speakers are one tiny step up from what the garbage men left behind on trash day.
Then, you add a stand alone disc player. With such a set, if you want to or need to change or upgrade a speaker, you can, and if the disc player dies, you don't have to throw out the receiver and the speakers. With the above Samsung systems, when one part breaks, the whole thing goes into the trash.
And, good systems that meet the description that I just wrote can be had from around $400 and up.

I would not recommend any of those home theater in a box. Keep in mind that they are designed to work as a whole unit and it is not flexible for adding anything to it. When one item fails, you have to replace the whole system. Look at a stand alone receiver, Pioneer and Onkyo are the top brand for quality and reliability. For speakers look at the following brands: Definitive Technology, Energy, JBL, Infinity, Klipsch, Martin Logan and Polk Audio. Add a Panasonic Blu Ray disc player and you have a nice system. If you have to go with a home theater in a box, then look at an Onkyo from the HT-S3000 to the 9100. Then add a Panasonic Blu Ray disc player to it. There are only a limited blu ray disc movie that have the 7.1 audio sound. You are not going to hear much difference between 5.1 and 7.1 in a small room. Hopr this will help you out.

The 9730 has better surround processors for instance if you play a Music CD it will play it in surround the other unit only stereo probably out two speakers same with videos on the internet say you have a video from youtube for instance that has a two channel soundtrack the 9730 will play it in surround but not the other one...but if I were you I would get separates like the others have suggested and Onkyo TX SR313 receiver will cost you $179 on Amazon even less some other places...a set of Fluance AVHTB speakers $249 and a Sony BDP S3200 $80 that's a total of $508 and better equipment with better sound and more flexibility.....You can buy two more speakers directly from Fluance and or add a sub or two of your choice upgrade later to a 14 k receiver with 9.2 channels if you like and keep the same speaker or visa versa etc...

That is a link to the product comparison on Samsungs website.
Based on their specs, the main difference is built in wi-fi, and a better subwoofer
