Liberalism is an ideology that believes in control, not freedom! Why liberals want to control everyone and everything?

Jonathon Gruber has recently exposed the cornerstone of liberal ideology.

He has proven the case that liberal leaders see themselves as superior beings who should make decisions for the rest of us, based on what they perceive to be in our best interests, even if it means lying to and deceiving their followers.

They assume that some very wise people — like themselves — need to take decisions out of the hands of lesser people, like the rest of us, and impose those decisions through mandates by a liberal government, which they control.

The self-flattery and self appointed superiority of the vision of liberalism also gives each of its true believers a huge ego stake in that vision, which means that mere facts are unlikely to make them reconsider, regardless of what evidence piles up against their vision, and regardless of its disastrous consequences.

Liberalism is not an ideology that believes in control rather than freedom. That is your first error. The problem, as I see it, is that likely you perceive being told to NOT do something because it restricts the freedoms of others as a form of control, when it isn't. It is only control on YOU, but provides freedom to millions or billions of others at the same time. It is only your self-centeredness that makes you think that liberalism is about control, when liberalism is actually about freeing everyone from the controls of a few.

Of course, the few see this as a limitation on their freedom, but that is because they refuse to accept that their freedoms are imposing controls on way more others and thus the control on those individuals is only necessary to stop them from trying to control MOST people.

Basically, liberalism says that if you want to control others, you are a problem that needs to be stopped. You can call that control if you want, but it is only controlling YOU and your efforts to control OTHERS, so the act of "control" is liberating for way more people than it limits.

Actually Liberalism is for bigger government but also the choices are there to.

Republicanism is all about control and forcing your religious beliefs onto others. The Tea Party is the American equivalent of ISIS.

You mean like telling people who they can and cannot marry? Or allowing employers to dictate what workers can do off the job or what insurance beenfits they can have? Or forcing people to get voter ID cards who already have valid IDs? Or telling employees they can't bargain as a group with employers? Or (current issue) killing net neutrality so they can control what people can see and hear on the Internet?

That's not liberals. Why do CONSERVATIVES want to control everybody?

Why do you say "control" when it would be so much more accurate (honest?) to say regulate, limit, deter, provide incentives, restrict, etc? For pete's sake, food safety regulation isn't "government controlling every aspect of our lives."

But lest I again be cited for commenting on the question rather than providing a direct answer, the answer is: We go to secret training camps that brain wash us (in the blood of lambs) to be heartless automatons on a rampage to take over the earth.

It is not and there are few liberals in Government in The USA.

Phony conservativism is apparently an idea that gets everything wrong, and knows nothing about anything else.

You always blame that on Liberals all the while stopping Americans from the dream they've laid out for themselves , Attaching what you want instead. That doesn't sound like you want freedom to ring.

The sheople don't wish to accept personal responsibility for thier lives (earnings, abortions etc). The government official wants the career position and egotistical attitudes that keep him in-power by taking from the have's and giving it to those who vote for them.

I merely want the ability to control shape shifting.

Because in their eyes everyone has to be "equal" except those in power that hands out the money to everyone.
