In at least one of the four Gospels Jesus clearly indicated He had followers who were not Christians. Who do you think they were?

Bonus question: Can you cite the specific scripture?

Thanks!

The Visit of the Magi (Most people over look this, but it is so wonderful ~ as Jesus did and does have sheep in other folds... When we consider *Daniel*... we know that there were those who believed... Consider the *Magi*...as some placed in the other folds... for God's overall purposes)).... This scripture below, show us this, imagine ... the land they covered, and the length of this journey, in response to and in Faith... to seek... this child... Emmanuel... Jesus Christ! Imagine how the seeds of this were planted through Daniel and his companions... throughout the echos' of time, not forgotten or dismissed... these seeds grew... in the hearts of certain Magi... who searched everywhere in gracious humble faith .... and responded when and as they heard the sound of the Spirit... and came!

1 Now when Jesus was born in Bethlehem of Judea in the days of Herod the king, behold, wise men from the East came to Jerusalem, saying, 2 "Where is he who has been born king of the Jews?

For we have seen his star in the East, and have come to worship him." (Matt 2:1)

I don't need to say these men were Christians.... as they were Wise men... who were filled with awe when they gazed upon Jesus...Christ...nothing mingled there...they worshiped Him...

I am very curious to know who you mean, because I am almost positive you must be interpreting something wrong. I have read the gospels over and over and over and over and over and over and have never, ever, seen anything like that.

If you are referring to John 10:16 that doesn't mean that at all, and I will email you and tell you what that means.

If they were his followers, they would be Christian. He is the "way, the truth and the light."

there were no Christians until called that by the Romans in the book of Acts . John 10:16 could be the verse you are after.

No, Jesus never used the word "Christian". Paul used the word to refer to the Apostles and I don't think it was even used to refer to mainstream followers of Christ until the mid 1800s.

Most likely Jesus was talking about Gentiles. Jesus was actually a Jewish rabbi.

How could ANY of them have been Christians, because they did NOT become Christians until AFTER the death of Jesus? Those who followed Jesus the Christ, and His ways, became the Christians.

You could be referring to apostate/false Christians, who would mislead people.

    (Mt 7:21-22; Mr 13:22-23)

Or, you might be referring to the Jewish Pharisees who were seeking to kill him.

    (Lu 13:33; Joh 10:20-42)

Do you mean John 10:16, "I have other sheep that are not of this sheep pen"? I seem to recall the word "flock" but maybe that was in the King James. This is the NIV translation.

All of Jesus's followers were not Christians. Christianity wasn't invented until years after Jesus died, so I think they were everybody, most of them being what we today call Jews.

Matthew 7:21-23 Jesus said that many would falsly claim to be his followers.

“Not everyone saying to me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ will enter into the Kingdom of the heavens, but only the one doing the will of my Father who is in the heavens will. 22 Many will say to me in that day: ‘Lord, Lord, did we not prophesy in your name, and expel demons in your name, and perform many powerful works in your name?’ And then I will declare to them: ‘I never knew you! Get away from me, you workers of lawlessness!’

He could have been speaking about those who converted that were Jewish--and he spoke of "other sheep--" but of course, they converted as I mentioned.
