a horizontal velocity of 2.72 m/s and lands in

the water 1.8 seconds later.

How high is the platform? The acceleration

of gravity is 9.8 m/s^2.

    Drop time = 1.8 secs.

    Height = 1/2 (t^2 x g) = 15.876 metres.
