is any housing/section 8 open right now?

Looking in the Dallas Texas and surrounding areas... any other information will be helpful

    If you do not already live in the Dallas area, you will not be eligible for Sec 8 housing until you have lived there at least one year. That being said, wait lists in the DFW area are VERY long.

    Check with this website and get on their mailing list. You are free to move and establish residency there until you are eligible to apply, if that county is even giving out applications. They could do it by lottery. Call the county Housing Authority and ask questions.

    You can only apply in the city/counties where you work and where you live.
