David Barash actually boasts of pushing atheism in the classroom.
Despite what they claim, atheism is indeed a religion. They have an explanation of origins (atheists are metaphysical naturalists). Their god is “science” and/or self. Their beliefs determine the way they live and interpret their lives. It produces certain feelings (some atheists have reported feeling liberated after converting to atheism). Atheists seek to evangelize (debates, billboards, books, etc.).
In the preface to The God Delusion, Dawkins said, “If this book works as I intend, religious readers who open it will be atheists when they put it down.” They have their creeds (the Humanist Manifesto). Some atheistic organizations have incorporated as “religious” entities in recent years in order to secure tax-exempt status. They have leadership (Richard Dawkins, Christopher Hitchens, Daniel Dennet, and Sam Harris) and social gatherings (atheist conventions). And so forth.

The theory of evolution is the Atheists bible ,to them there is no god that had an influence in the existence of the universe and everything in it, and in big bang magic yes magic. Religious people think that god was the one that made it happen by magic yes magic . And for some reason that I cannot explain we humans think that we are the centre of the universe the smartest beings alive, and alone in the universe.
Life is a mystery to be lived not a problem to be solved ,the truth about the universe and life no one has it we just make up bullshit to explain it religion evolution same **** .
that's why I say keep an open mind just because you are convince of something doesn't make it true.

Teaching evolution is neither atheism, nor evangelising.
It is teaching students facts, and has nothing to do with religion.
