Arguments for and/or against Orthodox Christianity?
This is mainly directed towards practicing Christians. I know many atheists will argue agains all Christianity and religion in general, but this question is only in regards to Orthodox vs. Protestant Christianity. Please be thoughtful and respectful in your answers. Thank you in advance :)

For:
*Orthodox Christianity traces its leadership and doctrine right back to the church in the New Testament. It is that church, all grown up -- a process you could see happening right there in the NT.
*Orthodoxy keeps the faith "once delivered to the saints" (Jude 1:3), and has not accepted
Rome's additions (the filioque, immaculate conception of Mary, purgatory, indulgences, papal infallibility) -- most of which were added only in the 19th century.
*Orthodox retained the scriptures that Protestants -- in solidarity with Judaism -- removed from the canon of scripture used by the Church for 1500 years.
*There's no question that it's about Jesus.
Against:
*Orthodox parishes and whole jurisdictions can be quite ethnic, some even to the point of claiming that you can't be Orthodox without being [ethnic group] -- even though that is a condemned heresy called phyletism. Huh. Christians not doing what they say. Who'd have thought?
On balance, I found it easier to overlook the ethnicity than to reject the doctrine and authority of the Orthodox Church.and the beauty of the services.
Forgive me.

The Orthodox, Catholic and Armenian Communions differ in terms of mediaeval politics rather than in doctrine. Together they account for over 85% of the worldwide followers of Jesus Christ. The Anglican Communion claims to be both catholic and reformed and takes the tally up to 94%. The other 6% are members of various Protestant denominations who have about as many sets of beliefs as they have ministers.
Jesus promised that the Gates of Hell would not prevail against his Church (Matthew 16:18). If you claim that only 6% of Christians are right, you are calling Jesus a liar.

Orthodox and Catholic were together the first Christian branch. They were together for over a thousand years before they split. Today, they are similar with some differences. I have the greatest respect for Orthodox Christianity and would worship with them if a Catholic church was not available.

Have seen some reports about Orthodox priests in Russia, Gorgia etc.
They are acting against other religions.
They claim that the are Christians, but the are doing the will of satan.

Orthodoxy is far more ancient than any of the forms of Protestantism
in Doctrine there is unity in Orthodox that is not present in the 30,000 breaks in Protestantism

Arguments for: It feels good

It does not mater what man-invented "denomination" or sect one is a member of.... only those of The True Church commissioned by God will enter Heaven... and ONLY God decrees who is of His Church
"Orthodox", Protestant, so-called "catholic", non-denominational.... or any other "church" claiming the title of Christian... none of them have any authority from God for their existence.... There is only One True Church commissioned by God
