Will society abandon technology and return to the ways of our ancestors?
Someone on Sociology said that perhaps the day will come when we abandon many of our technologies and return to the ways of our ancestors.

It's possible. All a matter of cultural trends. If everyone starts watching "Mountain Men" and decide that's the way they want to live, then society would shift towards that direction.
But it would require a significant cultural shift where "technology" becomes taboo...which clearly isn't the case right now (e.g. people lining up for the latest iPhone every few months)

I like living in a warm well lit house. I like being able to go places on my own in my car. I won't be going back soon.
