not a astronomer or believer in astronomy, I just find such a event interesting.
ok ok, I screwed up, I'm tired and just finished my round of chemo, so I'm bit delirious.

I'm sure you meant "astrology", not "astronomy" with that belief statement there. Anyway!
The year length (in earth days) of the planets (rounded off)
Mercury = 88 days
Venus = 225 days
Earth = 365 days
Mars = 687 days
Jupiter = 4333 days
Saturn = 10756 days
Uranus = 30687 days
Neptune = 60190 days
Pluto = 90553 days
Assuming that the lcd is 1, you can multiply these together and get their gcm's. It would take 13 million years for the first 4 planets to align. Of course, this is approximate since I'm cutting off fractional parts.

If you mean all the planets in a single line, they will never line up (never have).
The closest we ever came was in 1982 when all the planets were on the same side of the sun at the same time (not a line of course).

There will never be a full planetary alignment, and there has never been one in the past.
Astronomy is a science, not subject to "belief" or "disbelief."

Actually... never.
They can never fully 'line up' - but they *do* occasionally "group" in the sky; the next time the planets will be on more-or-less the same side of the sun is in May, 2492.

Never.
BTW, astronomy is a science, not a religion that you believe or disbelieve, or a sham like astrology.

It has actually never happened, and probably will never happen. That was all 2012 hoax.
