what do i need to put a vehicle in my name?

So I'm getting a car that's a 1992 so it doesn't need a title. I know I need a bill of sales which shows I purchased the car. I will not be registering the car because I won't be driving it for awhile. So how do i make sure that the car is in my name?

If you don't need a title then the bill of sale should suffice. Where do you live? Are you sure that you don't need a title? That would be a bit unusual ?

Yes, you do need a title for your 1992 Saab. Not doubt about it. If you obtained the Saab foolishly from someone without a clear title your will have to attempt to apply for a bonded title from your state's DMV office. Not an easy task, but good luck.

who the hell told you it doesn,t need a title.thats a lie.cars have required titles going back into the 70,s, if the seller told you this he is trying to scam you.or is selling a stolen car.this is the senerio seller will give you a signed bill of sale. the title will be signed also by him. and thats all

You need a title and you should register it right away because in some states if you wait for a while they will impose tax fines to your registration fee

Not so sure on the title thing as it is what shows ownership. Call your local DMV/BMV and ask them. You not giving state of residence keeps me from doing research.
