does uhaul require a minimum balance on a credit card when renting a truck?

What do you mean by minimum balance? minimum balance is ur balance that you have to pay back to the bank, why would Uhaul or any vendor in the world "except your bank" would care about that?

they only care that your card limit can cover the estimated cost of the truck your about to higher, so if the transaction went through, you are good.

U-Haul, like many rental companies, may put a hold on your credit card for a certain amount which would cover your deposit amount. If your don't have enough available credit to cover this hold, your credit card may be denied.

Normally U-haul is not concerned with what is on your credit card and would have no way of finding out. U-haul would only be interested to find out that your credit card is accepted or approved as oppose to denied or rejected.
