Will the 49ers go with Mike Singletary or Dennis Erickson to replace Harbaugh?

Funny. The main reason why Harbaugh was released was the collapse of the offense. Harbaugh took personal charge for calling the plays on offense, and the Niners fell to 28th in points scored, despite a major upgrade of the personnel. Even worse, the team scored a total of only 93 points in the second half of the games over the season, and only 33 points in the fourth quarter. A team is not going to win a lot of games averaging two points scored in the fourth quarter.

We need another Bill Walsh.

They tried Erickson before and in two seasons he went 9-23. Don't think they will go this route again. I think they will opt for a top flight defensive or offensive coordinator who has an NFL history with a winning team.

How about Joe Montana, Steve Young, Jerry Rice, or Ronnie Lott?
