That's a simple flaw in the system. The way it is possible to have more than 100% best answers is if a question gets best answer and is reported and deleted your BA count stays, but the answer count goes down.
One example, you answer 3 questions and get 3 best answers. One of the questions get reported and deleted, so then you would have 2 answers and 3 best answers, resulting in 150% best answer.
There was a short while when the best answer % was very glitch and it was not unusual to see some very high best answer percentages in the thousands.

The key is that you must already have 100% BAs, meaning you were awarded a BA for every single answer you gave, whether it was one or 10,0000.
Yep, it will happen if the person got BAs for every answer they ever gave and then one or more of those questions was deleted. Yahoo still gives them credit for the BA.
I came across two nasty trolls who were interacting. One had answered two questions of the other and got the BA for both. I reported the two BAs but they wouldn't drop. I also reported the two questions he answered and they were deleted. Because the only two questions he had gotten BA for was gone, he went from 100% BA to 200% BA.
Even if you delete every answer you gave on questions that have not been awarded BA, your BA% will not go over 100. Even if you could delete your answer from a question that has a BA, it still would not exceed 100%. If you delete a BA you got, your % will go down, just as it does it you are reported for a bunch of BAs you gave.
I know of a member who got the BA for every single answer she gave - thousands of them. A few of the Qs she got BA for were reported and deleted so her BA& is 101%. I can't post the link to the activity page because that is a violation for user call out (by the way).

The reason is that the user is actually a Yahoo creation, and Yahoo have lost track of how many question it has 'answered'. If you watch carefully, those on the leader board gain very few points, but when there is a promotion, or something to be won, they gain points by the truck load. In fact, we are still waiting to hear who won the last 'promotion'. My guess it was someone on the leader board, which means there never was anything to win at all.

I believe you can improve figures by posting lots of answers- then deleting those which are not picked as Best Answer.

One time last year I had 38000 percent best answers. (Wtf this phone keyboard doesn't have percent sign)
