Is this considered child abuse?
A child of 17 years old was diagnosed with cancer. The parents and the 'child' elected not to use chemotherapy for treatment. The government then forced the child to have chemo. In a country where someone can elect to have an assisted suicide to cancer and abortions are accepted why should the government intervene on someone's life who has been diagnosed with cancer?

Even in places where euthanasia is legal (and it's not in most of the states) you need to have two physicians concur that the condition would be fatal regardless of treatment, or that treatment would only extend suffering, and you need a psychologist who confirms the patient is of sound mind.
A 17 year old with cancer who doesn't receive treatment is not of sound mind, and neither are the parents, because most children that age who are treated survive. If there is a chance of living, and it's not taken, a person is not of sound mind - and thus have no legal rights to decisions regarding care. If someone will have NO chance of living, then deciding to die is sane. Is being of unsound mind abuse? No, not necessarily, but the child can be removed from parental care for being of unsound mind.

they are practicing medicine without a license and usurping the parent's right to choose care for their child. do you suppose they will take responsibility for the outcome? of course not. they already know what the likely outcome is, nonetheless they insist on forcing it upon the child. this is what happens when a cult of pseudoscience permeates all areas of society and it's institutions because of it's vast wealth and the influence it can buy.
